In a very not-really but really episode of Anthropodcast, Flain ventures out from his fallout shelter in search for allies amongst the harsh wilderness of geekdom. Approaching with his peacemaker holstered and a package of his tribe’s finest beverages, he strikes a conversation with Paul & Storm, a rough and tumble comedian troupe who advise the weary Flain on the ways to bring the fandom back to prominence in the harsh world of geekdom. Can a truce be made? Or will bloodshed befall our hero?

About what you said that the furry fandom not having a leader... that is true and I never really thought of it, so I learned something from you today.

Now, to wait and see if this podcast creates a ripple through the other types of geeks.

Interesting that the 501st was brought up. There are quite a few Furry costuming groups that do paid or charity gigs, it's just that they aren't linked together like the 501st is. Sadly, they tend to distance themselves from the fandom (or simply avoid mentioning it) since the mere association with something-that-might-possibly-be-sexual-part-of-the-time-to-some-people is enough for these groups to lose most of their clients. :/

Hello. This is Anya Silverfur, the apparently now infamous furry Minion of Paul and Storm. Just wanted to say that I just now found this podcast, thanks to the link from PaulandStorm.com.
I must say I am blushing over the fact that I was somewhat responsible for getting this interview going in the first place. And I am happy to put the fandom in a positive light. And no, I am not a random "hug everyone" furry.

Every time Jonathan Coulton has been mentioned in relation to this, I cringed. Then I properly looked him up and realized he wasn't quite at all the person I thought he was. I was way off, coz I thought he was one of those generic Dave Matthews Band, James Blunt-esque performers, or one of those untalented generic piano pop/rock performers(Kind of like Matthew Ebel, without the talent, originality or soul or any of those other good qualities that he has)
